St. John Chrysostom School Reviews

This school is old catholic with old ideas needs fresh and young ideas, and they do not accomadate kids with special needs.

A couple of observations: - The teachers have no control in the classrooms. - The administration is overwhelmed and does not know how to solve problems. - There are way too many days off. - The gym is way too small. - Classroom size is way too large (40 or more per clasroom).

Yes, they do have too many days off. The tuition is somewhat high, and the school definitely needs remodeling. This is all true but when it comes down to the education without a doubt it is all worth it. My son is currently in PreK 4 and I have witnessed tremendous growth throughout this past year. My son knows all of his prayers, he has learned addition and subtraction. He has also learned all sounds and letter combinations that make different sounds. When he started this year I read the reviews and was not sure if the education would be the same as public school. I am thankful that i decided to invest in my son's academic foundation.

St John Chrysostom is a very good school, but the price is way to high and they charge for everything. Another Problem is that they have to many days off. Otherwise is a very good school

My daughter actually attends this school and does very well and has excelled amazingly and is graduating this year in 2008. St. John Chrysostom does need a few adjustments but otherwise is a good place for achieving students.

My daughter has attended St. John's Chrysostom since the age of 3. The small class sizes and teachers has helped her to be a great student and person overall.

I attended and graduated from St. John's Chrysostom. My son now attends. He has learned so much from his teachers. Personally, St. John's was the foundation in my life and is responsible for my career today. I support St. John's all the way! Too much money some say? Our children's education should never have a price !

They need to invest the money in the school, and remodel the classrooms.

I personally attended St. John Chrysostom school. It's an amazing school to attend. Every teacher takes time to get to know their students. This school is like a community- everyone knows everyone. Students excel there because they are challenged to do their best. The principal is a sweet-hearted person who always looks out for the best interests of the students. The asst. principal is the same; always on the look-out for better things. The teachers are excellent when it comes to academics. The school has an amazing library system that greatly benefits all of the students. The science department- equipped with great equipment that allows the students to analyze the world at its best. St. John Chrysostom is, without a doubt, one of the best schools in New York, if not the best. Not to mention the Christian values instilled in the students. Every parent should try to enroll their kids.

Love his Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Almonte. They raised their tuition (which was way too high to begin with) and they charge for every little thing (like fundraising, dress-down days, etc). Not sure if this is all worth it or if he would get the same education in public school.

They have way too many days off.

They have more than what they say per class sometimes 60 in a class. They don t have a yard for playing just a gym, there lunches down in the basement are terrible. They used to have the girls and boys separated.
